Terms and Conditions

1.) Product Prices:

All product prices are listed as ex-works pricing – meaning the product prices at the source. The price is inclusive of our standard packaging but does not include shipping related costs.

2.) Packaging:

Standard packaging for tea is 500g (1.1lb) or 1kg (2.2lb) individual packs and placed in export quality cardboard cartons. Other packaging options are available on request. Packaging for tea accessories will be listed on the product page and/or custom packaging arrangements can be made.

3.) Shipping:

Shipping is Door to Door unless other arrangements have been made and includes all local and international shipping and freight related costs. It does not include local import fees (if any) or other unexpected delivery expenses. Note: Although most teas are duty free and tax free for small to medium sized orders and there are no importation costs incurred in most countries – we advise that you check with your countries import and customs regulations beforehand, if you are importing for the first time.

4.) Minimum Order Quantities:

1kg (2.2lb) per tea variety and 3kg (6.6lb) per order per country

5.) Customs fees:

Tea is duty free in most countries so there are no customs fees. If there are customs fees levied on tea or tea accessories they will be the responsibility of the buyer unless other arrangements have been agreed upon

6.) Other fees:

In the event there are other unexpected fees on arrival to the destination country such as inspection fees, pesticide analysis fees, these will be the responsibility of the buyer unless other arrangement have been agreed upon

7.) Preparation Times:

Once your order has been confirmed and payment received, the packing and preparation time is usually 2-5 business days (although China origin orders can take up to 7 days) Exceptions to this can be if we are out of stock of a particular tea in which case it can take several days to receive a new batch from the tea garden. While we will do all we can to prepare your order as quickly as possible, we cannot take responsibility for delays that are beyond our control.

8.) Shipping Times:

Some estimated delivery times are given with the shipping options available for each region. Zi Chun Tea Company will do all we can to deliver within the specified time frames, however we cannot take responsibility for unexpected delays in transit or delays at customs or importing formalities.

9.) Importing and Customs Formalities and Documentation Requirements:

In the event of the shipping company or custom authorities in the destination country requiring documents to be provided or signed by the buyer/importer it is the responsibility of the buyer to do so. Documents required by authorities from the supplier will be supplied on request if available. Please note: Special certificates such as pesticide analysis and tests may incur a fee for the customer

10.) Payment Terms:

Payment terms are prepaid.

11.) Samples and Samples Shipping Refund:

New customers requesting free samples are required to pay a small shipping fee. This fee is then deducted from the cost of their first order (Orders must be a minimum of 3kg) Ongoing additional sample can be requested to accompany orders free of charge. Zi Chun Tea Company has the option to refuse to provide some samples if it appears the customer is taking advantage of the 10 free samples offer. For example, requesting free samples of 10 expensive teas with no intention of placing an order

12.) Account approval:

Zi Chun Tea Company is a BTB wholesale and bulk distributor and only approves accounts for resellers. We welcome both established businesses as well as startups. Create an Account

13.) Lost or Damaged Shipment:

If a shipment is not delivered due to an error on our part such as an incorrectly addressed package we will take full responsibility to get it rerouted and/or resend to you for no extra cost on your part.

14.) Returned to Sender:

If a package has had attempted deliveries to the given address and not been received due to the buyer not being available and the package is returned to the sender, the cost of being shipped again will be the responsibility of the buyer

15.) Exchange and returns policy

If you are dissatisfied with the quality of the tea or feel there is significant difference in the taste profile compared to the sample received or compared to a previous order of the same tea, we will be happy to negotiate a suitable payment adjustment or, alternatively refund you for the cost of the unopened or undamaged teas and arrange for the tea to be returned. This applies for up to 7 days after the receipt of your order

Please Note: We do not honor exchanges or refunds if the issue is not quality-driven but is rather a matter of personal taste. Please note that as an agricultural product, some seasonal variance is to be expected in the flavor profiles of tea. For this reason, we recommend you receive a sample for tasting before purchasing.
