Our organic magnolia oolong is made using an organic high mountain oolong tea leaf (Jin Xuan tea cultivar) scented with pure magnolia flowers from Guangxi province. The tea has a characteristic sweet and floral fragrance created by blending the tea with this sub-tropical magnolia flower, which is very good match with the pure clean taste of high mountain oolong. Very fragrant and pleasant and natural – no artificial flavoring added
The magnolia oolong uses fresh magnolia flowers for scenting. The scenting lasts around two weeks. Unlike jasmine flower scenting process, the magnolia flower can remain with the tea, and the flavor and taste improves over time (The jasmine flower is most fragrant when it is blooming from bud to flower. But after that, most of its aroma is gone and the dry jasmine flower is not so fragrant – unlike the magnolia).
